In the new millennium, Selleck starred in a slew of TV films, which included the Jesse Stone series, in which he played the role of a New England police chief. The role earned Selleck another Emmy nomination and he also served as the director of the film. Selleck portrays a policeman that is a part of a multigenerational family. This role was also featured in Blue Bloods that premiered on CBS in the year 2010. Selleck eventually made it to the big screen. Along with Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg He was in Three Men and a Baby which was a hugely well-received comedy. It was the top-grossing film ever.
