Kathrin Romany Beckinsale was born 26 July 1973. [1][2][3] She is an English model, actress and singer. Following a couple of small TV roles, her first film appearance was Much Ado About Nothing (1993) while she was a student at the University of Oxford. Alongside numerous radio and stage productions, she appeared in British costume dramas such as Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), and Shooting Fish (1997). Beckinsale made her first film in the United States in late 1990s. After appearing in small-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), she appeared in the war drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the romantic comedy Serendipity (2001), and Tiptoes (2003). Following her starring roles in The Aviator (2004), Click (2006) and Click (2006), she also appeared in the film Click. She made her mark in Hollywood with roles in the films The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). She is still appearing in lesser dramatic films such as Snow Angels (2007), Nothing but the Truth (2008) and Everybody's Fine (2009). Her work received favorable reviews for her performance in the two previous films. In 2016, she was awarded an acclaim from critics for her performance in the period-themed comedy film Love & Friendship, for which she was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress in a Comedic Film. She returned in action films together with Jolt (2021). She also appeared in two TV projects, The Widow (2019) and Guilty Party (2021).
